Reporting a problem
If something is wrong, these details help us find it much faster:
- the app version and build, from Settings → About in the app;
- your iOS version and device model, or your browser if you are playing on the web;
- what you expected to happen, and what happened instead;
- a screenshot or screen recording, if the problem is something you can see.
For a scoring disagreement, the most useful thing is the hand itself — the tiles, who dealt, the prevailing wind, and the score you expected. Hong Kong scoring has real regional variation, so knowing which house rules your table plays tells us whether it is a bug or a setting.
Sending a diagnostics file (beta builds)
TestFlight builds have a diagnostics screen that packages up recent practice games. Open the game table options, choose Diagnostics, tick what you are willing to include, and use the mail button — it opens your own mail app with the file attached, addressed to us. The app cannot send anything by itself, so nothing reaches us until you press send. The Privacy Policy lists exactly what the file contains.
Purchases and subscriptions
Sensei Pro is sold by Apple, so billing questions are answered fastest by Apple.
- Bought Pro but the app does not show it? Use Restore purchases in the app's subscription settings. Purchases are anonymous and there is no account, so this asks the App Store directly.
- Cancelling or changing a subscription —manage it in your Apple Account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds — request one from Apple. We cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases, but do tell us what went wrong.
- The lifetime purchase is one-off. It does not renew and there is nothing to cancel.
Privacy requests
Email us to ask what we hold about you, to get a copy, or to have it deleted. We do not charge for this and will not ask you to create an account.
If you contributed games from the browser and want them removed, include your contribution identifier — you will find it on the contribute page. Copy it before switching contribution off, because switching off deletes your only copy of it, and without it we cannot tell which games were yours.
